Start your twin
twinbox logintwinbox uplogin connects the CLI to your Twinbox account in the browser. up creates your cloud box, or wakes it if it’s parked, sets up the desktop and developer tools, then brings your agent setup along.
Twinbox is a cloud copy of your computer, already set up like yours. Your agents, test runs and renders work there, and keep going when your laptop sleeps.

twinbox connectA GPU desktop opens in a Moonlight window. 60 fps, clipboard in both directions, and text sized to suit you.
Desktop access: Mac, PC, iPad and iPhone via Moonlight. iPad pairing is not yet verified. Platform details
Every twin runs Omarchy: Arch Linux with the Hyprland tiling desktop, set up for developers from the first boot. Open it at 60 fps from your Mac, PC or iPad, or never open it and let your agents use it.
You’ve spent time getting your computer just right. Your twin starts with that work.
Live, two-way sync. Edit on either machine and the other catches up. Your laptop wins conflicts. Dependencies and build output stay local to each OS.
Instructions, preferences, and the tools behind them. Paths are adapted to the box. Anything that can’t run there is skipped and listed.
Keys travel directly from your computer to your box over SSH, with owner-only permissions. Twinbox does not store them in a central service. Machine-specific OAuth logins are approved on the box.
Bring a model, a dataset, or any file you need. twinbox push <path> copies it to the box without adding a live sync link.
YOU KEEPYour local files, your own accounts, and the way you work.
YOUR TWIN ADDSA separate Linux machine, optional GPU power, and room for jobs that outlast your laptop’s battery.
Claude Code and Codex get Twinbox’s MCP server automatically when you run twinbox setup. They can run commands, install tools, see the screen, and work in your synced projects.
Start a background render or build on the box. It keeps running when your laptop sleeps.
Meet the CLIRun a shell command on your box. twinbox ssh uname -a
A full machine your agent can use. Install what the job needs, then get to work.
Real tool names and CLI equivalents. These examples do not execute commands. Agents: read llms.txt.
Each box has its own firewall, open only to your own IP addresses. The shell, your files and sync travel over SSH. The desktop streams over Moonlight, paired with a PIN. Both are encrypted end to end, so there is no VPN to install.
Direct and encrypted. Closed to everyone else.
Your addressestwinbox up and twinbox connect add the IP you are on. Add a phone or iPad from the dashboard. Up to 5 per box.
Your keysSent over SSH. Owner-only on the box. Key-only SSH, no passwords. No Twinbox credential store.
A fresh identityEach box makes its own SSH host key and desktop identity at first boot. The CLI trusts only the host key the box reported to Twinbox.
Memory keeps getting dearer, and a new machine starts ageing the day it arrives. A twin gives you the power when the work needs it, and nothing to replace.

Prices from apple.com and nvidia.com on 12 Oct 2026; RTX 5090 desktops from about $4,000 in retail listings. Gartner forecast of 26 Feb 2026. Twin costs come from the calculator below: Singapore, 100 GB disk, parked when not in use, no desktop streaming. A T4 has less memory than a DGX Spark, so a twin suits heavy jobs you run now and then, not all-day model training.

One credit is one minute of the smallest box (CPU-S) at the base rate. Hours shown are in Singapore without streaming. Unused plan credits carry over one month. Top-ups never expire and work with or without a plan. GPU sizes need a card on file.

A 30-day month. The box runs for your hours on your days, and parks the rest of the time. Park with twinbox stop.
One credit is one minute of CPU-S at the base rate. Bigger sizes use more credits a minute (CPU 1, 2, 4, 8; GPU 5 and 7.5), and each location has its own multiplier (1 to 1.65). A running minute includes the disk. Parked boxes pay for their disk only. Streaming the desktop is metered per GB sent; agents working on their own stream nothing. Rates from our cloud costs on 11 Oct 2026.
Streaming assumes about 5.8 GB per hour at 20 Mbps, measured on a real box. Boxes run in Singapore today; other locations in this calculator are estimates for later. Auto-park is not built yet, so park with twinbox stop. For agents, builds and renders, twinbox up --saver makes a Saver box at half the running credits: the cloud can pause it, and it starts again by itself with its disk kept. At zero credits, running boxes stop. A box that stays at zero for 7 days is deleted with its disk, after two emails.

The things you should know before you twin.
Yes. A new account gets 1,000 credits, once, for the CPU sizes. No card. That is about 12 hours of CPU-S in Singapore. GPU sizes need a card on file: a plan or any top-up.
Plan credits you don’t use carry over one month, then expire. Top-ups don’t expire. When you spend, the credits that expire first go first.
Yes. Linked projects sync to your own cloud box over SSH. Your local copy stays on your laptop. Sync is two-way, and the laptop wins conflicts. Dependencies, caches, and root build output are excluded. The Git directory is synced, so avoid running Git on both machines at the same time.
The box stays on. Background jobs started on it can keep working. File sync and clipboard sync wait until your computer reconnects. Closing your lid does not park the box or stop its running usage.
The CLI runs on macOS and Linux; the installer sets it up in one line. The cloud desktop runs Omarchy Linux. Moonlight clients are available for Mac, PC, iPad, and iPhone; iPad pairing remains untested here. Add a phone or iPad’s network with “Allow this device” in the dashboard.
In Singapore for now. Each box has its own firewall that lets in only your IP addresses. More locations come later; the calculator shows what they would cost.
Twinbox copies the agent files that exist, rewrites home paths, and installs known tool dependencies. Mac-only applications, laptop-local MCP servers, and tools without an install recipe may be skipped and are listed. Some services require a separate OAuth login on the box.
No. twinbox login opens twinbox.dev in your browser; you check the code and click Connect. On the box, GitHub’s code is placed on your clipboard automatically, and Claude uses an SSH tunnel back to its browser callback, with a code fallback only if that port cannot be forwarded.
Credits pay for running minutes, parked disk, and desktop streaming. twinbox stop parks the machine, leaving only disk usage. Auto-park is not built, so park it yourself. twinbox down deletes the box and its disk after you type its name to confirm. At zero credits, running boxes stop. A box that stays at zero for 7 days is deleted with its disk, after two emails.
Leave the long jobs with your twin.
